Seek HARDER and ye shall find MORE!! That’s what I believe.
Hebrews 11:6 says, “…for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.”
IF you don’t believe God is a rewarder, you won’t bother seeking Him at all. But if you believe that He is a GREATER rewarder of them that DILIGENTLY seek Him, than them that seek Him half-heartedly… THEN how would you seek Him? A little now and then? When it’s convenient? Sunday mornings? When you feel like you can’t handle things on your own? OR… would you seek Him ALL-OUT, 24/7/365? …Fanatical, consumed, “get-out-of-my-way” seeking?
It really depends on what you think His rewards are, and what they’re worth to you. If you think His rewards are “more stuff”, …nice things, pleasures, comfort… then you might think, “Life is already pretty good, His rewards would be nice, but I can get by… not really worth TOO much effort. I’ll just seek Him a little, and He’ll reward me a little, and that will be enough for me.”
NOT ME!! I see His rewards as Him revealing Himself to me, and bringing me really close to Him. He said diligently seek HIM. So HE is the reward! Like God told Abraham, “I AM thy exceeding great reward!” Just think… knowing Him in intimate fellowship, becoming one… I in Him, and He in me. There is absolutely NOTHING I want more! And THAT is how hard I am seeking!
