Be Patient, Not Weary.
Since it’s so obvious that “sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily” [Ecclesiastics 8:11], why would it seem so hard to understand when God’s rewards for good works don’t happen immediately?
Hebrews 6:12 “That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.”
Hebrews 10:36 “For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.”
Galations 6:9 “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
1 Timothy 5:24-25 “Some men’s sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they follow after. Likewise also the good works of some are manifest beforehand; and they that are otherwise cannot be hid.”
