MOVED With Compassion

Jesus was MOVED with compassion.
I take that to mean more than just f-e-e-l-i-n-g sorry for people, because every single time it says He was moved with compassion, He DID something. He taught them, He fed them, He healed them. That compassion MOVED His lips, His hands, His feet.
Of course we feel for people in ways that we have no resources, or time, or opportunity to actually do anything for them, except maybe pray. We can’t let ourselves feel condemned for not doing everything for everybody we see. Even Jesus passed right on by a lot of people with needs. But are we ready, willing, and MOVEABLE with God’s compassion? If we are, we’ll find we have more resources, time, and opportunities than we ever thought.Thinking about that this morning, the Lord spoke something really encouraging to my heart. He said He is STILL moved with compassion. He hasn’t changed! When we are MOVED with His compassion, we are moving with Him. When we let Him MOVE with compassion through us, He will do the same things THROUGH us, that He did on this earth when He was moved with compassion. Teaching… healing… working miracles… feeding the multitudes… raising the dead. ALL of it! And GREATER!

We just need to let Him LOVE people through us. He SO loved… He gave. He STILL loves… and wants to give… THROUGH us! I’ve received. Now I’m giving. And it’s going to get REALLY exciting!
