Plain. Simple. Heart to Heart.

True Surrender

We can say we’ve surrendered, but talk is cheap.

We can feel like we’ve surrendered, but feelings fade.

We can know we’ve surrendered, when we hear the Lord ask us to do something the flesh does not want to do, but we obey God, not the flesh.

We can know we’ve NOT surrendered, when we avoid seeking what the Lord may speak, for fear that He may speak something that the flesh doesn’t want to do.

A truly surrendered heart listens intently to the Spirit of God for more of His words, SEEKS His commandments, and obeys His voice. The flesh is dead, and no longer has a voice.

[Galatians 5:24-25] “And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.”

[Romans 8:12-14] “Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”

We can see in Psalm 119, the heart of a man who LOVED God’s commandments.
