To Will And DO.

Want to do something really meaningful, and pleasing to the Lord, but don’t see it happening? Don’t know what to do, or where to start?

How about starting by thanking God that He is ALREADY working in you! You WANT to please God? That’s GOD, at work in you!

Philippians 2: 13 says, “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.” [KJV]

So don’t get frustrated… get EXCITED! God IS working in you… NOW!… to WANT to do His good pleasure. But that’s not all. He doesn’t leave you there, on your own… in frustration, trying to work it out. He is working in you BOTH to will, AND to DO!!

God didn’t put that desire in you, just to leave you overwhelmed, frustrated, or condemned. The fact that you opened up to Him, and received that desire from Him, means you are already very special in His eyes. There aren’t that many people on this earth that really, REALLY want to do HIS good pleasure… above all other pleasures.

That makes you very blessed and favored… or weird and unbalanced… depending on whether it’s God’s viewpoint, or the world’s. Whatever. Wear the label with honor! And know that He which has BEGUN a good work in you… even if it’s just to plant that desire in you… will PERFORM it until the day of Jesus Christ! (See Philippians 1:6)

So keep your eyes open, and your ears tuned in. EXPECT! GOD is working in you to DO!!!!
